Kenny Wilson is your host and creator of The CuzWILSON Show. Chances are Wilson Sporting Goods makes equipment for most of the sports that Kenny played. Naturally, it was fun for Kenny to use that equipment and/or bags with WILSON on it. There's just something fun about seeing your name on a product, street sign, building, or a celebrity in the news. It just brings a smile to your face. Back in the 1980's, people started putting family photos on their Christmas Cards. In the summer of 1989, Kenny wanted to create a card photo of his son Courtland, surrounded by products from Wilson. A local sporting goods store allowed Kenny to create the photo shown on a slow weekday with little foot traffic. It was a hit with family and friends .. DUH! Kenny's profession was involved in the early years of personal computers and software, even before hard drives were invented. The internet became a thing and software packages came out to help create websites. Kenny needed an excuse to create a website to get trained on the software features, so he created "Wilson Mania" just for fun to gather the origin and history of Wilson, and celebrities of the day named Wilson. Kenny was hooked! It was so fun to learn about events that a Wilson was involved in or a product a Wilson invented. In 1991 Websites were created Kenny began creating websites for customers and on he went... In the late 1990's, Print-On-Demand was invented to create one product at a time and shipped. In 2002 MeetUps were created to create gatherings for people with shared hobbies or interests. In 2004 the PODCAST was invented as a combination of "iPod & Broadcast" In 2008 Facebook Groups were created and on-line communities started to form. In 2020 an on-line community platform called Heartbeat was formed as an alternative to social media groups to add more functionality and features for community organizers and participants. |
